My Story

I wrote my graduate thesis about OpenAI in 2022. Back then, no one had heard of LLMs or Generative Transformers. My research proved we were close to a monumental AI breakthrough, but no one was ready to listen.

Then, ChatGPT happened.

Suddenly, AI was everywhere, but people still didn’t get it. “What is this new technology?” they wondered. “What can it do? Should I be worried about it?”

I began freelancing to help them understand. My research gave me a solid background in the technology, and I drew on my previous marketing background to explain the technical details to readers.

Today, I still write with my readers in mind. I help AI-first companies explain their products to customers and potential investors, turning technical jargon into a compelling story.

Technologist.

I graduated with a Master’s of Information Science from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2022, where I wrote my thesis about practical applications of GPT-3 (the most advanced model at the time). I began freelancing almost immediately, working as an AI project manager for David Shapiro and writing technical articles for various clients. I’ve tackled marketing challenges for five different AI startups to date. View my portfolio or explore my services to learn more.

Writer.

I’ve always been a writer. Before graduate school, I studied Digital Communications in college (UNC again). With over five years of marketing experience, I can do everything from web design to video production, but content writing is still my absolute favorite. I’ve written copy, blog posts, articles, thought leadership, scripts, and courses. I’m comfortable writing with and without AI tools. You name it, and I can write it.

Product Manager.

After graduate school, I worked as a product owner at a UK-based data company. I’m a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) with a professional certification in Agile Project Management from the University of Maryland. My education and experience give me hands-on knowledge of technical product development. I can understand your product’s requirements and development cycle, helping you plan the best go-to-market strategy.

Other Projects

When I’m not freelancing, I’m hard at work on my other projects. I write the Substack Speculative, where I explore the intersection of technology and society. I also publish science fiction and run the speculative fiction writing community, Literary Launchpad.
